🍏 SHIPPING INFORMATION

Up A Tree Distillery & Fairview Orchard, Roxburgh, Central Otago

We send all orders directly from our orchard and distillery here in Roxburgh, Central Otago. Every parcel is packed with care, whether it’s fresh fruit, a box of pantry goodies or a bottle of our orchard spirits.

Below is everything you need to know about how we ship around New Zealand.

🚚 GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION

Daily Packing Cut-Off: 10:30am

Orders placed before 10:30am are prioritised for same-day dispatch.
During busy periods (fruit season, weekends, holidays), your order may be sent on the next working day.
Tracking will be emailed as soon as your parcel is collected.

Courier Service

We use NZ Post for all deliveries, including:

  • Tracked courier services (you will receive a tracking number for all deliveries)

  • R18 deliveries for alcohol (this includes the R18 delivery fee & signature required fee)

  • Rural Delivery (for shelf stable & alcohol deliveries only - fruit can only be delivered to an urban address)

Tracking links are sent automatically once your parcel is on its way.

🍑 FRESH FRUIT SHIPPING
(2kg & 5kg Boxes)

Fresh fruit is extremely time-sensitive and delivery delays can affect quality.
For this reason:

⭐ We currently ship fresh fruit to URBAN ADDRESSES ONLY.

If your address is listed as Rural Delivery (RD), please use an alternative urban address such as:

  • workplace

  • a friend or family member

  • a local depot/collection point/garage or general store etc.

This ensures your fruit arrives fast, fresh and in perfect condition.

Fruit Shipping Rates

North Island (Urban Only)

  • 2kg Box: $11.03

  • 5kg Box: $25.00

Otago + Southland (Urban Only)

  • 2kg Box: $8.02

  • 5kg Box: $10.62

Rest of South Island (Urban Only)

  • 2kg Box: $8.40

  • 5kg Box: $11.92

Delivery Timeframes

  • South Island: 1-2 working days

  • North Island: 1-3 working days

  • Fruit is shipped early in the week (specifically Mondays, Tuesday & sometimes Wednesdays) where possible to avoid fruit sitting over a weekend.

🍾 ALCOHOL SHIPPING
(R18 REQUIRED)

All alcohol orders must be delivered in accordance with NZ law.

NZ Post Requirements

  • R18 Restricted Delivery - ID must be sighted on delivery

  • Signature Required

  • Cannot be left unattended or in a letterbox

  • Cannot be redirected to a pickup point or be livered to a PO Box

If no one 18+ is home, NZ Post will leave a card for redelivery.

  • 0–5.99kg: $16.49

  • 6–25kg: $17.49

  • 0–5.99kg: $11.99

  • Urban 0–5.99kg: $10.99

🛒 SHELF-STABLE & PANTRY GOODS

(Jams, honey, chutneys, treats, gift packs etc.)

  • Sent via tracked NZ Post courier

  • No R18 requirement unless alcohol is included

  • Urban & rural rates apply as above

  • Because our fruit is hand-graded and packed using specialised packaging, it cannot be combined with other items in the same parcel. If your order includes fruit plus any other products, you will receive separate tracking numbers.

  • Shipping is automatically calculated at checkout

🧺 MIXED ORDERS
(Fruit + Alcohol + Pantry Goods)

Fresh fruit is extremely delicate and is packed in its own specialised packaging. For this reason:

⭐ All fresh fruit orders are shipped separately

Fruit cannot be combined in the same parcel as alcohol or pantry items.

If your order contains fruit and other products, your shipment will be split into two (or more) parcels and you will receive separate tracking numbers for each.

Shipping will be automatically calculated at checkout based on:

  • which products are in your order

  • total weight

  • delivery region

  • urban vs rural (for alcohol only)

We always pack everything as efficiently and safely as possible.

🕒 DELIVERY TIME ESTIMATES

  • South Island (Urban): 1-2 working days

  • North Island (Urban): 2-3 working days

  • Rural Delivery: +1-2 working days

  • Weather events, peak season and courier volume may affect delivery times.
